Abstract

Civil engineering within its extensive practice refers to construction projects and infrastructure development with the objective of generating an impact on society, in the urban and rural environment. Generally, these works are carried out by the public or private sector. Public auditing involves monitoring and verifying the development and progress of the project, the quality with which the work is carried out, compliance with the programming, the legality of the processes, the adequate use of financial resources and the quality of the materials. Public auditors are hired with the primary objective of being an essential element in the fight against corruption.
